It’s worth devoting a full day to this route! The first ‘jewel’ on this hike is the deserted Klima beach, with its white pebbles and clean drinking water from the seasonal torrent which flows from the homonymous ravine. You should definitely dedicate part of your day here, relishing a refreshing swim in the emerald crystalline waters. The monastery of Aghios Ioannis Eleimonas is a breezy oasis, where there are all sorts of fruit bearing trees and cool drinking water. Beside the monastery, are two more deserted beaches, also perfect spots for swimming. From the monastery to the traditional village of Aghia Kyriaki and all the way back to Limnionas, you’ll enjoy a pleasant hike, initially on the slopes of the gorge, and later, through timeworn estates full of olive trees and vineyards. You also have the choice to follow a waymarked deviation of this route, from the monastery towards the north-west, in order to visit the quaint isolated village of Paleochori.
